Liquid membranes can be applied onto superstructures behind external cladding materials as an effective vapour barrier. The membrane is designed to protect superstructure (reinforced concrete, steel or masonry) against attack, and prevent moisture ingress that may become trapped within the cavity.
Protecting Reinforced Concrete, Steel or Masonry
If the waterproof membrane is to be left exposed for a period greater than 28 days prior to the installation of the cladding, consideration should be given to the U.V. stability of the selected membrane.
