DPCs (damp proof courses) are used in masonry walls, to prevent the passage of moisture from the ground up into the fabric of the building.
Cavity trays are designed to divert water within the cavity out through weep holes through the external skin. They are usually used above window and door heads and often at intermediate floor levels depending upon the design of the structure.
